A man shot his wife in the upper torso Thursday morning and waited for deputies to arrive at their Lancaster home, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The shooting occurred at about 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 2700 block of East Avenue J-4, said Lt. Margarita Velazquez of the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
“It appears the husband shot the wife in the upper torso,” Velazquez said. “He gave up and turned himself in.”
The woman was transported to a hospital where her vital signs were stable, the lieutenant said.
