[symple_googlemap title=”Lennox Shooting” location=”111th Street and Inglewood Avenue, Los Angeles, CA” height=”300″ zoom=”15″]A young man was shot to death in unincorporated Lennox, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported Monday.

The shooting occurred at 111th Street and Inglewood Avenue about 11 p.m. Sunday, said Deputy Crystal Hernandez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The 21-year-old man was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Hernandez said. His name was withheld, pending family notification.

According to a preliminary investigation, the man was standing with a group of people in a back parking lot when someone opened fire, fatally wounding him, the sheriff’s department reported. The man was the only one hit by the gunfire. No description was available of the suspect.
