The crash in the 2200 block of North Eastern Avenue was reported at 12:25 a.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division.
Nathaniel Mayweather, 20, of Los Angeles suffered severe head injuries and died at a hospital a short time afterward, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
