A man and a dog were rescued Sunday in a fire that broke out in a two-story building in the Mid-City section of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The fire was reported at 8:34 p.m. at 5352 W. Washington Blvd., Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Forty-eight firefighters responded and knocked down the flames in 28 minutes, Main said.
Both man and dog were in good condition, she said.
