Searchers found four people missing overnight in near-freezing temperatures in the San Gabriel Mountains.
The four people, three men and a woman, were a group of family members and friends aged 18-60, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Darrin Walker said.
The group was reported missing around midnight by family members after not returning from a hike, Walker said.
About 7 a.m., rescuers found the hikers, said sheriff’s Lt. Randy Tuinstra. They appeared to be OK, and had a campfire, according to reports from the scene.
