Three homes in the same Azusa neighborhood were burglarized over New Years Eve, police said.
Two of the break-ins happened between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of west Kirkwall Road and the third was reported in the 100 block of Cindy Lou Court, said Sgt. Andy Sutcliffe of the Azusa Police Department.
A fourth home was burglarized in the county area of Azusa, close to the other three thefts, and was under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff‘s Department San Dimas Station, Sutcliffe said.
An unknown number of suspects committed the burglaries and entered through unlocked back windows, he said.
Homes were ransacked and property was stolen, the sergeant said.
Maria Ibarra told ABC7 three shotguns, $2,000 in cash and jewelry, including her 25th anniversary wedding ring, were stolen from her residence.
No suspect information was immediately available.
