The Pasadena Fire Department reports it was a quiet, cold night on Colorado Boulevard, as temperatures dipped below 40 degrees in the hours before Thursday’s parade.
There was “a relatively-low call volume overnight, because people came prepared for cold weather,” said spokeswoman Lisa Derderian.
An unofficial reading at 6 a.m. put the Pasadena temperature at 37 degrees. coldest Rose Parade start ever was in 1952, when the temperature was 32 degrees.
