A 32-year-old man was shot Monday in South Los Angeles, then rear-ended a vehicle and drove to the parking lot of a probation office.

The shooting occurred about 2:15 p.m. at Adams Boulevard and Hooper Avenue, according to Officer Sara Faden of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim was found in a red Camaro in the parking lot of a probation office in the 2400 block of South Alameda Street about 2:30 p.m., Faden said.

A 911 call was made and paramedics took him to a hospital where he underwent surgery. He was listed in stable condition, Faden said.

The shooting may have been gang related, Faden said.
