A Metrolink train struck a car in Pacoima Monday, but no injuries were reported, authorities said.

Paramedics were sent to the 10800 block of San Fernando Road about 6:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The crash involved Metrolink train 204 on the Antelope Valley line, according to Metrolink. The driver of the car fled the scene on foot, the fire department reported.

About 220 passengers were aboard the train, and no injuries were reported on the train, according to the LAFD.

Some delays were expected, according to Metrolink. The car may have been abandoned on the tracks by its driver, according to reports from the scene.
