A man was pistol-whipped during a home invasion robbery at a Bellflower condominium Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was hospitalized in stable condition following the 2 p.m. robbery, in which the suspects also used duct tape to restrain him before escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash, said Lt. Eric Lindblom of the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies, who were sent to the 8600 block of Ramona Street shortly before 2 p.m., followed a car that they thought contained the two suspects, described only as Hispanics in their 30s. But it turned out they had no connection with the home invasion robbery, Lindblom said.
