A 5-year-old boy was seriously injured and his 48- year-old grandmother was also injured when they were hit by a car in the Westlake district Wednesday whose driver fled the scene.
The two were hit about 7:45 a.m. on Beverly Boulevard, just east of Robinson Street, police said.
The older model gray Lincoln Navigator was going east on Beverly Boulevard when it hit the pedestrians who were crossing north on Beverly Boulevard.
The suspect continued driving east on Beverly Boulevard without stopping, police said.
Emma Cermeno, the grandmother, was taken to a hospital as was her grandson.
