Authorities sought public help Thursday in the search for a man who robbed a jewelry store at gunpoint at the Northridge Fashion Center mall, reportedly getting away with items valued at about $100,000.
It happened about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kevin Jewelers, 9301 Tampa Ave., Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado said.
Detectives planned a news conference Thursday morning to discuss the case. Fox11 reported that the stolen items were valued at $100,000.
Security video of the crime showed a man wearing a sport coat walking into the store and asking a clerk to see jewelry. When she showed him the items, he pulled out a gun, took the items, and walked out of the store.
The same suspect apparently robbed a Kevin Jewelers in Riverside in September, and the company has offered a $10,000 reward, Fox11 reported.
