Someone jumped off the Burbank Boulevard-Golden State (5) Freeway overpass in Burbank Friday in an apparent suicide attempt, police said.
The individual, identified only as a male, jumped about 4:55 p.m. and landed on a side street, Burbank police Officer Johsua Kendrick said.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment, but his condition was not immediately available, the officer said.
It appeared he was trying to commit suicide, Kendrick said.
Motorists were warned to avoid the area.
