Two suspects suffered slight injuries Wednesday and were taken into custody at the end of a brief vehicle pursuit that ended on a golf course in unincorporated Athens, authorities said.

The suspects were sought on suspicion of DUI, the California Highway Patrol reported. The pursuit ended at Chester Washington Golf Course at 1930 West 120th Street around 2:45 a.m., said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Eguia. The chase began moments earlier on South Normandie Avenue.

The vehicle came to rest about 100 yards inside the golf course, a news videographer reported from the scene.

A suspect was detained at the scene and another was caught a short time later, Eguia said.
