Authorities on Friday announced a reward of up to $50,000 and circulated images of a man sought for robbing a letter carrier in Compton.
The crime occurred Jan. 3 about 10 a.m. at 327 E. Compton Blvd., said Stacia Crane of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
Investigators released a composite drawing and a security camera photo of the wanted man, described as black, in his late 20s to mid-30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was seen leaving the area in a black four-door sedan, possibly a Honda or Nissan.
Anyone with information about his identity or whereabouts was urged to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at (877) 876-2455; press the “2” key and refer to case number 2092197.
