A person was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Van Nuys Friday afternoon.
Firefighters responded to a reported train-versus-pedestrian crash at Sepulveda Boulevard and Raymer Street at 6 p.m., according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
The Ventura-bound train was stopped at the Chatsworth Station, according to Metrolink.
The victim’s age and gender were not immediately available.
