In hopes of tracking down a suspect, West Covina police on Wednesday released a photo of the SUV driven by a hit-and-run motorist who struck a pedestrian.
Emilio Simon, 50 of La Puente, was struck by a silver 1997 to 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee when he was crossing in the 1200 block of West Francisquito Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, said Officer Eddie Flores of the West Covina Police Department.
Simon remains hospitalized in “extremely critical condition,” Flores said.
A security camera at a nearby shopping center captured the photo of the vehicle, which is believed to have damage on the driver’s side, police said.
