Around two dozen Long Beach businesses and parked vehicles had their windows shot out in a spree of vandalism, police said Tuesday.

The windows were shot out with a BB gun Monday night, according to a Long Beach Police Department statement. At least 21 incidents were reported, initially in the area of Long Beach Boulevard and Eighth Street, and then in the Naples area, it said, adding that the first shooting reports came in around 9:30 p.m.

Several cars had one or more windows shot out along the 4400 block of 15th Street, a news videographer reported from the scene.

The vandal or vandals were believed to be traveling in a blue or black Honda Civic with a spoiler and chrome tail pipes.

No injuries were reported.
