A fire Wednesday north of Koreatown, which damaged a commercial building housing several businesses, apparently originated in ovens in a bakery, authorities said.

Firefighters sent to the 4000 block of Beverly Boulevard at 4:57 a.m. extinguished the flames in 45 minutes, and no one was hurt, said Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire apparently originated in ovens in the Panaderia El Salvador bakery, according to Main, who said employees inside the bakery got out unharmed.

The flames spread into a common attic of the single-story structure.

A damage estimate was not immediately released.
