Firefighters Wednesday rescued a man, believed to be a tree trimmer, who was trapped about 75 feet up in a palm tree in the Monrovia area.
Rescuers sent to the 200 block of West Atara Street about 10:15 a.m. brought the man to safety in about a half hour, said county fire Inspector Randall Wright.
Paramedics took the man to a hospital for examination.
