Someone fired shots from a pellet gun, shattering windows on a Metro bus in South Los Angeles on Monday evening and when a second bus arrived to take passengers from the first to their destinations, it too was hit by pellets and had its windows shattered.

No one was injured aboard either bus, which were shot at on the eastbound side of Imperial Highway at Central Avenue about 7 p.m., said Lt. Rich Maradiaga of the sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau.

A third bus arrived and took passengers from the scene and deputies were trying to find whoever fired the shots, Maradiaga said.

People questioned in the area said they didn’t see a thing, Maradiaga said.
