Authorities Tuesday identified a woman who was killed in a crash involving three vehicles on the northbound Orange (57) Freeway in Diamond Bar.

The crash just north of Diamond Bar Boulevard, was reported around 12:20 p.m. Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Juana Gutierrez-Gomez, 50, of Fullerton died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. The Toyota in which Gutierrez-Gomez was a passenger had slowed in heavy traffic when it was rear-ended by a Ford, the CHP reported. A woman also riding in the Toyota suffered major injuries and was hospitalized, the CHP reported.

The man driving the Toyota, along with another woman passenger, suffered moderate injuries, according to the CHP. The driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries. The Ford also collided with a Lexus, but that motorist was unhurt, the CHP reported.
