Four men are in custody after a police pursuit that ended with a stolen vehicle crashing into a building in Hancock Park early Wednesday, police said.
The building at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and South Sycamore Avenue, which houses a BMW repair business, sustained “significant” damage, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Melvin Gamble.
The 10-minute pursuit began on Wilshire Boulevard near the Westlake neighborhood around 12:40 a.m. and continued on surface streets before the stolen Honda Pilot struck the building, Gamble said. The vehicle was reported stolen on Feb. 12, he said.
Three of the Honda’s four occupants were in their late 20s, with the other in his mid-30s, Gamble said.
The driver was facing vehicle-theft charges, while charges against the other occupants were pending, Gamble said.
