Authorities sought four men who robbed a Carson-area couple at gunpoint Friday and then burglarized the victims’ liquor store in Hawthorne.

The robbery was reported about 2:30 a.m. from a gated community in the 1000 block of West Park Circle Drive, Los Angeles CountySheriff’s Lt. Scott Aikin said.

The couple, in their 50s, had just arrived home when three men burst into the residence and confronted them at gunpoint, while a fourth man waited outside in a vehicle, Aikin said.

The men — who wore dark clothing, ski masks and gloves — may have followed them home from the liquor store the victims own, Aikin said.

Aikin said the suspects tied up the victims, disabled their cell phones, and fled.

Investigators believe the suspects obtained the key to the liquor store in the 14200 block of Hawthorne Boulevard, went there and stole items from the business, sheriff’s department officials said.

The victims managed to free themselves, and authorities were notified.

Anyone knowing more about the crime was urged to call L.A. Sheriff’s Detective Rodney Adams at (310) 847-8363.
