A male victim was struck and killed by a Metro Green Line train in what police said may have been a suicide.

Sheriff’s homicide detectives were investigating the fatality at the Green Line Station at Crenshaw Boulevard and 120th Street, said sheriff’s Lt. Barry Shapiro. He was hit by the train at about 10 p.m. Sunday.

“It’s a possible suicide,” said Shapiro, who said the victim appeared to be an adult.

A news videographer at the scene said it appeared the train struck the pedestrian as it was pulling away from the platform.
