Authorities on Friday sought public help to find two suspects who set a fire that damaged a police impound yard in La Crescenta.
The Crescenta Valley Tow facility in the 4400 block of Cloud Avenue was damaged by the arson fire on Feb. 16, sheriff’s Sgt. John Hanson said.
“An examination of the surveillance footage revealed at least two suspects had forcibly entered the location and intentionally set fire to the structure,” Hanson said.
The structure included the police impound bay used by the sheriff’s department, the California Patrol and the Glendale Police Department, Hanson said.
“Detectives believe the police impound area may have been the intended target of this arson,” Hanson said.
A composite drawing was circulated today of one of the suspects. A black compact sedan, possibly a late model Toyota Yaris, may have been connected with the crime. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Hanson at (323) 881-7523.
