A security guard at a South Los Angeles medical marijuana dispensary was wounded in a gun battle Sunday night with three suspects who tried to rob the place, police said.
The male suspects entered the dispensary in the area of Crenshaw Boulevard and 54th Street in the Hyde Park neighborhood about 7:20 p.m., said Sgt. Robert Grant of the Los Angeles Police Department‘s 77th Street Station.
The guard was hit at least once and taken to a hospital, Grant said.
The man’s vital signs were stable, but it was not immediately clear if his injury was survivable, the sergeant said.
The suspects fled out the front door and it was unclear if any of them was hit, Grant said.
Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not available, he said.
