Three people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation and another 11 were displaced after a fire at a boarding and care facility in unincorporated Westmont.

The fire was reported in the 1100 block of West 111th Street around 2 a.m., said Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervisor Kyle Sandford. Thirty firefighters had the flames knocked down in 25 minutes, he said.

The cause of the fire and the resulting loss were not immediately determined.
