Authorities Thursday identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Hawthorne.
The rider was southbound on Prairie Avenue near 141st Street about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday when the motorcycle collided with a vehicle that pulled out of a parking lot, the Hawthorne Police Department reported.
Herman Ogilvie, 49, of Inglewood died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. The motorist, who was unhurt, remained at the scene and was interviewed by officers.
