The sheriff’s department asked for the public’s help to find a missing 11-year-old girl who suffers from post traumatic stress disorder and walked away from her group home in South Los Angeles.

Aganay Durant was last seen about 8 p.m. Thursday by a group of staff members at the Junior Blind of America facility away from the home near 60th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard. The facility is located at 5300 Angeles Vista Boulevard, according to the sheriff’s department.

In addition to PTSD, Durant also has a slight learning disability, authorities said.

Durant was described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 125 pounds. She has short black hair and brown eyes. She was was last seen wearing black pants and a black and white striped long sleeve shirt, according to the sheriff’s department.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts was asked to call the sheriff’s Marina del Rey station at (310) 482-6000 or 911.
