Detectives and sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau deputies served a search warrant Sunday at home South El Monte home and detained several people as the investigation into a man’s stabbing death continued.
The victim was stabbed about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 11200 block of Broadmead Street, said Deputy Mike Barraza of the Los Angeles County Sheriff‘s Information Bureau.
Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital, where he was later pronounce dead, according to the sheriff’s department.
Detectives learned that evidence related to the killing was discovered in a residence in the same block where the fatal stabbing took place prior to serving the warrant about noon Sunday, Barraza said.
“Detectives are trying to ascertain what their involvement is, if any, regarding the earlier stabbing,” Barraza said.
