A man was fatally injured Wednesday in a vehicle that crashed off the side of the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway in La Canada and hit a tree, authorities said.
The man, who was about 30, died at the scene of the crash, which occurred west of Angeles Crest Highway shortly before 8 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities withheld his name, pending family notification. The cause of the accident was under investigation.
