A man in his late 30s was fatally shot while getting off a bus in the southwest part of Los Angeles city early Wednesday, in what’s believed to be a gang-related attack, police reported.
The shooting occurred at Buckingham Road and Santa Rosalia Drive about 3:30 a.m. said Officer Nuria Venegas of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, was shot in the lower body multiple times, Venegas said. He was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead about 10:30 a.m., she said.
The investigation was being investigated by the LAPD’s gang homicide detectives.
