A man, and a woman parolee were in custody Friday after a short, high-speed vehicle pursuit in Pomona.
The pursuit of the Ford Expedition occurred around 5 p.m. Thursday when the driver of the vehicle failed to comply with an order to pull over, said a Pomona Police Department statement. A passenger in the Ford jumped out of the moving vehicle during the pursuit, it said.
The pursuit ended when the Ford crashed into another vehicle near the intersection of 11th Street and Park Avenue.
The driver of the vehicle, David Macias, 42, of Pomona, was found to be in possession of a handgun and a controlled substance, police said. The passenger, Jocelyn Sanchez, 23, also of Pomona, was found to be a parolee at large, it said.
Both were arrested without incident.
