Sheriff’s deputies found a woman in an unincorporated area near Arcadia Wednesday who had been sexually assaulted, took her to a hospital, then established a large containment to find her attacker.
Deputies from the sheriff’s Temple Station were called to an area around Longden Avenue and 10th Street shortly after 2 p.m., said Sgt. Julie Geary of the sheriff’s Temple Station. When they arrived at the address where the initial call was made, they heard a woman screaming.
A special weapons team was called to hunt for the suspect, but they gave up around 5 p.m., convinced he had escaped the area.
However Wednesday evening, a neighbor called to say the suspect had been seen in the neighborhood and deputies returned, this time with dogs, to hunt for him, KCAL9 reported.
