A missing 4-year-old boy from the Los Angeles area and his mother have turned up in Las Vegas, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Cameron Tatum and his mother Jasmine were found by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, an LAPD statement said. Cameron was in good condition, and his 26-year-old mother was arrested and booked for child stealing.

The boy had been missing since Tuesday morning, when his father, Daniel Adrian Shoppell, who has sole legal custody, agreed to have Jasmine Tatum spend two hours with Cameron.

The father received a text message from the mother at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, saying she would drop the child off at the taxi zone at Union Station at 10 a.m., police said.

Shoppell drove to Union Station, searched the property, but did not find Cameron. Shoppell made numerous attempts to contact the boy’s mother but could not find her, according to police.

Jasmine Tatum was being held in Las Vegas in lieu of the $250,000 bail, the LAPD statement said. She was found with her son in the 4800 block of Boulder Highway.
