Two 17-year-olds were arrested in connection with the shooting death of a man outside a Palmdale restaurant.
The male and female juveniles were arrested on suspicion of involvement in, or assistance with the killing of 41-year-old Luis Amela on March 31, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Trina Schrader said.
The shooter remains outstanding, Schrader said.
The juveniles were arrested around 3 p.m. Wednesday, and are scheduled to appear in Sylmar Juvenile Court Thursday, Schrader said.
Amela was shot outside Sky Burgers in the 1800 block of East Palmdale Boulevard around 9:30 p.m. March 31, when he got into a fight with four men trying to steal his bicycle.
Amela was assaulted and shot four times and died at a hospital, sheriff’s deputies said.
