Authorities Thursday identified a young man who was fatally shot in Santa Fe Springs during an argument with another man.
The shooting in the area of Painter Avenue and Barton Road occurred about 7 p.m. Wednesday, said Santa Fe Springs police Lt. Bryan Ellis.
Andrew Lane, 23, of Whittier died at the scene, said coroner’s Chief Craig Harvey.
Lane was walking in the area when a silver compact car pulled up, and the suspect — possibly the driver — got out, Ellis said. The men argued, and the suspect pulled out a gun and fired several shots at Lane, Ellis said.
