A man who was fatally shot in an apparent gang-related attack in South Los Angeles was identified Monday.
The shooting occurred outside 843 West 65th St. around 10:50 p.m. Sunday, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Rudy Alaniz.
Justine Pitts, 24, of Los Angeles, died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Pitts was sitting on the front porch of a residence when he was approached by a gunman who shot him and fled, said Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado. The shooting was apparently gang-related, Preciado said. There were no arrests. No description was available of the suspect.
