A security guard at a Pasadena Sears store was awaiting surgery Tuesday after being stabbed in his upper arm during a confrontation with a theft suspect.
The stabbing occurred at about 8:25 p.m. Monday at the store at 3801 E. Foothill Blvd., said Pasadena Police Lt. John Luna.
“The loss prevention officer confronted the theft suspect outside and attempted to detain him,” Luna said.
Police located and detained the suspect and witnesses positively identified him, Luna said.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and commercial burglary, Luna said.
