Police chased and arrested a man who was driving recklessly in the South Los Angeles area.
The chase on surface streets began about 5:40 a.m. near 111th Place and Avalon Boulevard, and ended about 20 minutes later near Figueroa and 77th streets, where the man got out of the car and ran a short distance before being arrested, said Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado. No injuries were reported.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, was expected to be booked on suspicion of reckless driving.
