A man and a woman are suspected of a series of street robberies targeting lone women in the Panorama City area, police said Saturday.
The suspects, both Hispanic and between 25 and 27 years old, were seen in a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by the man, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
They typically drive alongside a victim, at which point the woman, armed with some kind of weapon, gets out and confronts a victim, demanding her property, police said.
“The female suspect usually takes the victim’s purse and gets back in the truck,” according to a police statement.
The woman is about 5 feet-4 inches tall, 140 pounds with black hair and the man is about 5 feet 11 inches tall, police said.
The vehicle is a black 2001 Ford F-150 four-door truck, with a Harley- Davidson trim model and California license plate 77584D1.
