A multi-car crash in Van Nuys involving speeding cars might have been the result of street racing, authorities said Sunday.
The crash was reported about 7:15 p.m. at 16750 Sherman Way near Whitaker Avenue, Los Angeles police Sgt. Jeff Graham said.
Three moving cars and speeding were involved in the collision, he said.
Two parked cars were hit as well, Graham said.
One person was hospitalized with serious injuries, and three others were being treated for minor injuries, Shawn Lenske of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
