A man was fatally shot in South El Monte Monday.
Humberto Nava, 31, of South El Monte died at the scene of the shooting, which occurred shortly before 6 a.m. in the 2500 block of Continental Avenue, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
The circumstances of the shooting were under investigation by the sheriff’s department.
