The Board of Supervisors Tuesday offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man responsible for 11 armed robberies that netted him cash and cell phones in Paramount, Lakewood, Bellflower and Norwalk.
Supervisor Don Knabe recommended the reward, saying the unidentified robber, working alone and armed with a semi-automatic handgun, was getting more aggressive.
Detectives said the bandit took cash and phones with a value of more than $135,000 in the spate of robberies that began March 25. The most recent heist took place on April 2.
Anyone with information was asked to call sheriff’s Detective Angel Matute at (562) 522-8647.
