A man riding a Metro bus in Hawthorne was slashed in the face Wednesday during a dispute with another male passenger, who was being sought, authorities said.
The incident occurred about 6:15 a.m. near Crenshaw Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue, said Ramon Montenegro of the Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau.
The injured man, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening facial cut, Montenegro said.
A possible suspect was detained for questioning, but was later released, Montenegro said.
