A firefighter was hospitalized with a laceration to one hand Friday following a fire that extensively damaged a room above a restaurant at L.A.’s famed Farmers Market in the Fairfax district, authorities said.
The fire was reported above the Little Spain Restaurant & Gourmet Market around 4:15 a.m. and was knocked down by 60 firefighters in less than 20 minutes, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Robert Hinojosa said.
A firefighter was transported to a hospital with a laceration to a hand, he said.
