Employees at a U.S. Postal Service facility in Industry were evacuated early Friday as a hazmat team attended to a suspicious package, authorities said.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said a call was received around 3:45 a.m. reporting an acid smell coming from a package at the facility in the 15400 block of East Gale Avenue. A hazmat team was dispatched soon after.
The building, a postal sorting facility, appeared to have been fully evacuated, a news videographer reported from the scene.
