A California Highway Patrol helicopter took off Monday morning for its base at the Fullerton Municipal Airport after an emergency landing at a Glendora High School, the CHP reported.

The helicopter told dispatchers it had to make an emergency landing at 9:25 p.m. Sunday, said CHP Officer Fernando Villalobos. It landed at Whitcomb Continuation High School at 350 W. Mauna Loa Ave.

The helicopter was repaired at the high school and took off at 1:25 a.m., Villalobos said. He did not know the reason for the emergency landing.
