A woman’s body was found Tuesday near an on-ramp to the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway in Paramount.
The California Highway Patrol spotted the body near the Rosecrans Avenue on-ramp shortly before 3 p.m. and notified the sheriff’s department, according to sheriff’s Lt. Eric Lindblom.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives were investigating the circumstances of the death.
One sheriff’s deputy said the death is being investigated as a homicide, but that doesn’t mean it has been determined the death was a homicide.
“There are a lot of transients living along the 710,” she said.
